The concrete slab is one of the most meaningful milestones a construction project reaches. Before the slab, everything exists in plans. After the slab, the building has a foundation, a floor, a footprint that will not move.
This week, that slab went down. And alongside it, the concrete stands for the parking lot light poles began to take shape, giving the site even more visible structure. If you drove by before and saw open ground, drive by now. There is something there. Something real is being built.
Every rep in May is pointed at the same target: Monday, May 25, 7 a.m., Memorial Day Murph.
That is not an exaggeration. Blue Eagle Fitness May programming is Phase 2 of our 2026 annual plan, and the entire phase carries a single name: Prepare for Murph. Every strength decision, every benchmark, every long conditioning piece this month exists to put you in the best possible position to perform on Memorial Day in honor of Navy Lieutenant Michael P. Can you lose weight naturally without GLP 1 medications like Ozempic? In this episode of Peak Performers Getting Fit, Bryan White talks with Dr. Cody Golman about why he opposes GLP 1s for long term fat loss, what he sees happening when people come off them, and how his FAST40 program is designed to help women over 40 lose weight through food quality, structure, appetite awareness, and what he calls a hormonal reset.
Cody explains his concerns about rapid weight loss through appetite suppression, including rebound weight gain, hunger returning after stopping the medication, and the risk of undernourishment when people eat too little for too long. He also walks through the FAST40 framework, including removing added sugar and refined carbs, using plant based supplements, eating real food, and testing foods after the first 40 days to see how the body responds. Bryan pushes him on the details, asks how the method works in real life, and finds more overlap with his own coaching philosophy than he expected. If you’ve been curious about GLP 1 medications, sustainable weight loss, sugar cravings, or nutrition for women in their 40s and 50s, this conversation will give you plenty to think about.
