"You are going to learn a lot of new things in this gym, and you can do every bit of it. Your coach has you."

Coach Clancie has been changing people's relationship with movement since 2013, and she'll be the first to tell you that her own beginning was anything but polished. After leaving a corporate career and spending time at home with her young sons, she wanted something flexible, fun, and worth showing up for. So she got certified, walked into a gym, and talked the owner into giving her a shot. On her very first day, she had a mild panic attack in the bathroom, called her husband for a pep talk, stepped back out into that group fitness room, and never looked back.

That story says everything you need to know about Clancie: she shows up, she figures it out, and she brings everyone along with her.

She holds a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification and is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Her background spans group fitness, senior populations, yoga, indoor cycling, and even snow-ski instruction, built across more than a decade of coaching real people through real change. Add a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in English, and you have a coach who knows not just how to train people, but how to communicate with them in a way that actually lands.

Her specialty, as she puts it, is the "fun zone" and modifications, which she describes as personal training for groups. In a room of three or ten, Clancie sees each person individually. If you have had an injury, spent some time on the couch, or are simply starting out for the first time, she can adapt any movement for any age and any stage and make it genuinely doable. Her clients know two things before they even walk in: they are going to sweat, and they are going to smile.

It is her goal for every single person to leave feeling better than when they arrived, physically and mentally.

Over the past thirteen years, her results have spoken clearly. A client she trained at her church won a campuswide health and weight loss competition. A 70-year-old member she has worked with for more than two years has dropped 20 pounds, built real strength, and discovered, as Clancie describes it, a new outlook on life.

Outside the gym, Clancie is a California girl by birth, an Army brat by upbringing (she moved eight times before landing in Texas for college and never left), and a proud farm resident. She has been married to her husband David for 28 years, and together they have two sons, Zach and Steven. She has learned to drive a tractor and discovered that mowing is one of the most therapeutic things a person can do. She is a follower of Jesus and deeply grateful for the faith and community that have shaped her life.

If you are brand new and not quite sure you belong here, Clancie wants you to know one thing before your first session: you are going to learn a lot of new things in this gym, and you can do every bit of it. Your coach has you.
