Monday Motivation - Some Days Are Bad Days

Happy Monday, Blue Eagle!

Some days are bad days. Of course, we prefer our days to be good or even great, but such is life.

In my chemistry career, every brand-new chemist would have a bad day about three months after starting in the laboratory. I would hear a glass flask or beaker fall and shatter. It's not a nig deal and is a part of working in a lab. But then, about an hour later, I would hear another glass flask or beaker shatter... And then a third sound of shattered glass.

After the third breakage, the chemist would be close to tears. They had probably never dropped glassware before, and now they had done it three times in one day. I don't have an explanation for why it happened. But it always happened.

After the third breakage, I would send them home. I told them to relax, that these days happen to everyone, and that tomorrow would be better. Some days are bad days.

We can't always control whether or not we are going to have a bad day. But we *can control* going to our workout at Blue Eagle, eating fruits and vegetables every meal, and our bedtimes. We can also control writing a thank you card and journaling our gratitude that we woke up today.

Even on the bad days, we can make something good about them.

See you in the gym!
